Science and Math

Our students comprehend the necessity of math in the process of rapid changes and developments, new inventions and conducting research. In this direction, processes of examining, researching, discovering the problem, developing solutions to the problem, sharing and solving the problem have the focus in our math education with considering our students’ different abilities and individual differences.

In the scope of our math education, our students form an opinion about numbers, operations, symbols and mathematical concepts. They correlate time, space, objects and numbers and deepen their knowledge about the shape, dimension and size of objects. It is expected that students conduct a connection between the entire features and functions of objects based on these learning experiences.

It is aimed that our students experience all ways of thinking such as analyzing, interpretation, asking questions, reasoning, and making predictions based on causation, deduction and induction. These abilities take an important role in solving the problems they may encounter in their daily lives. Additionally, it is planned that they can use their learning from different fields while these problems and gain the experience of doing research.

Our students’ desire to research, question, wonder and critical thinking is supported in order to develop their thinking skills and experience scientific thinking processes. Our math and science education are designed to support each other with scientific methods such as abstract thinking, establishing connections, and developing theory.
