Banu Gürlek

Banu Gürlek is an experienced educational leader with over 27 years of service in Türkiye’s well-established educational institutions. A graduate of Middle East Technical University, she also holds a master’s degree. She began her career as a teacher and has since served in various leadership roles, including department head, school administrator, and coordinator of international programs.

Throughout her career, she has actively managed international academic examination processes such as AP, SAT, IELTS, and TOEFL, and played a key role in the implementation and development of AP, IGCSE, and IB programs. She has conducted extensive work in curriculum development, structuring assessment and evaluation systems, and supporting teachers’ professional development.

Grounded in academic excellence, a disciplined work culture, and an innovative approach to learning, Gürlek demonstrates strong leadership in institutional branding, sustainable achievement, and fostering a collaborative team spirit.

Married and a mother of two, Banu Gürlek currently serves as the Principal of TOBB ETÜ Private Laboratory Middle School. In this role, she is committed to maximizing students’ academic success while strengthening their character development and global perspective through a comprehensive educational vision.
