The term between 5th and 8th grade is a period in which the student experience rapid change and development as physical, mental, social, and emotional. A student comprehends the roles and relationships in the social environment in that term. The student’s development towards academic areas accelerates, and s/he experiences a transition period to high school education which is the next step of her/his education.
Secondary school is a stage that has content that requires intense attention and work, as well as the needs related to the developmental characteristics of students. In this continuum, secondary school is an important step that school counseling comes to the fore.
It is aimed that our students become individuals who are self-confident, highly motivated, consistent, solution-oriented, compatible, sensitive to themselves and their environment, respectful to differences, setting goals, and taking action towards the goal they set.
The qualification required for the high school level, which is the previous education step of the transition to vocational education, is met with this intended development.
