TOBB University of Economics and Technology (TOBB ETU) was founded in 2003 by the Education and Culture Foundation of the Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBEV) with the initiative of The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchange of Turkey (TOBB), the largest umbrella organization of the Turkish business world.

TOBB ETU started its education life in 2004 with its first students in the Faculty of Engineering, Economics and Administrative Sciences, and Science and Literature. Today, it provides education in 24 departments under the Faculty of Engineering, Medicine, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Law, Architecture and Design, and Science and Literature; in 23 programs under the Institute of Science, Social Sciences, Health Sciences, and Educational Sciences.

TOBB University of Economics and Technology aims to train future leaders, scientists, artists, researchers, and entrepreneurs as qualified individuals ready for international competition.
