-What is your relationship with TOBB ETU?

TOBB University of Economics and Technology is the founder of TOBB ETU College.

-What does bilingual education mean?

Bilingual education is the simultaneous implementation of conceptual learning in Turkish and English in the learning process. It is aimed that students experience the learning process with both languages. The purpose is to be gained students to native speakers of both languages.

-What is obligatory second foreign language education?

Our students will be taught one of the languages German, French, Italian, and Spanish as an elective second foreign language education starting from 3rd grade. Our students will continue the second foreign language education of their choice during their school life, and they will gain a strong level of competence in their second foreign language.

-How many students will be in sections?

According to TOBB ETU Laboratory Schools Regulations, section capacities are determined and are limited to 20 students to achieve a productive education process.

-Why do you provide scholarships at the kindergarten and primary school levels?

Our school is opened with the status of “Laboratory School” within the scope of the law number 5839. The equivalent scholarship rate at each school level must be seventy percent. Student admission is carried out for only kindergarten and 1st grade in the 2022-2023 school year. Thus, students accepted for these school levels will take a scholarship, and the equivalent scholarship rate will be seventy percent.

-What is the seventy percent equivalent scholarship rate?

Our school is established with a special law in the status of “Laboratory School” in Ankara. Our equivalent scholarship rate is 70%. It means that 70 of 100 students could take full scholarship or some of the students take 50% scholarship, some of the students take %70 scholarship, and others take the full scholarship. Capacities for scholarship conditions and scholarship ratios are determined by considering the demands received in the pre-application, the 70% equivalent scholarship rate, and the number of candidate students whose applications are accepted (who complete the pre-application and school preparation processes).

-What is the amount of tuition fees if my child is accepted in scholarship status?

If your child gains a 70% scholarship, you will pay 30% of the determined yearly tuition fee. If your child gains a 50% scholarship, you will pay half of the determined yearly tuition fee. The scholarship ratio continues until the end of the school level. The scholarship status is evaluated once again when the student proceeds to the next school level. Fees for the needs such as nutrition, book, stationery, school outfit, transportation, course, etc., are met by the student’s parent. The scholarship covers only tuition fees.

- What is the amount of tuition fees if my child is accepted without any scholarship?

-How many years is the scholarship given for?

The scholarship is active during the students’ education process at their current school level.

-If my child gains a scholarship in primary school, will his/her scholarship continue in secondary school and high school?

The registration right of the student continues when s/he proceeds to secondary school and science high school. The reasons that may cause the student to lose or decrease the scholarship rate when s/he proceeds to secondary school and science high school can be listed as follows: in the situation that the student receives a disciplinary punishment; in the situation that student’s success is below the criteria of school/class level determined by the school; in the situation that there is no positive development despite the feedback and suggestions given to the student’s parent in the process; in the situation that school-family cooperation cannot be carried out. The student’s scholarship continues in the next school level in other circumstances.

-Why graduation from Science High School occurs with an international program diploma?

TOBB ETU College was established under a special law, and there is an opportunity to graduate from high school with an international diploma within the scope of this special law.

-Could my child continue his/her education at TOBB ETU after Science High School?

The students who are graduated from our Science High School can study at our university if they want. It is planned that the students who register for TOBB ETU will take the opportunity of lateral transfer.
